A Note From Our Founder
Morning, Angels (from the West Coast, again)!
We're meeting with editors and amazing brands in LA this week and already planning for fall/winter! I'm honestly thrilled because the -ber months are my absolute favorite (especially in nyc). Cozy time, the best fashion, fall foliage, lots of home cooked meals, skiing, a fireplace and a good book... the list goes on. I am doing my best not to get ahead of myself, but I'm currently resisting the urge to order everything from the Anthro fall section.
In other news, The Bands are almost entirely sold out. We have less than 10 left, so if you've been thinking about it, get them before they're gone and use code MORNINGANGELS10 for a little discount🤎 order here
Still so overwhelmed by the support of our first product launch, so thank you for championing our brand! Keeps me going even when I'm jet lagged and dealing with a poor Oura ring score ;)
Hope you love today's newsletter!

Choosing Progress Over Perfection
For those who have been following along with us, you know how much we stress the idea of consistency. That's because, when you're consistent, you're constantly making progress.
Another phrase we love is: done is better than perfect. Because ultimately, we're trying to achieve our wildest dreams, and if you are always waiting for perfection, you'll always be waiting... So, here are a few of the ways to rewire the perfectionist mind and take action today.
Focus on Consistency:
Give yourself shorter time periods or smaller daily goals to ensure you can actually accomplish them. For example, if setting a daily working out is your goal, start by setting aside 20 min each day. (Pssst our weekly schedule is a great place to start!)
Start a Gratitude Practice:
Each morning remind yourself what you’re grateful for and write a list. Don't worry about thinking of new things each day, just write what comes to mind. Sometimes it can be hard to find gratitude on a bad day, but remember, it could be as simple as "my favorite sweatshirt" or "my morning coffee". A gratitude practice helps keep us optimistic, and in turn empowers forward movement.
Get Out of Your Comfort Zone:
A change from our normal routine is a form of progress and it's also a great way to keep things interesting. Maybe try a new food, workout class, or hobby. Pottery is high on our "must-try" list!
Practice Self-Awareness:
Tune into you. Your likes, dislikes, triggers, and curiosities all tell you more about yourself and understanding these results in personal growth.
Meditate:
The ultimate way to stay present in the moment. Whether it's 2 minutes or 20 minutes, meditation will bring you back to your center and allow you to move through hurdles.
Progress happens when nobody is watching and there is no one to hold you accountable, but you.

What if we told you that you could create stunning graphics for your business, school projects, or personal brand without any design experience? It’s true... Canva has been a huge part of our branding since Kira started Cacti Wellness 3 years ago, and this 15-minute video walks you through how to get started yourself.

New & Now in the Wellness World
What is Cortisol Face and Is It Real?
People are spiraling on TikTok about “Cortisol Face” or “Moon Face”- a puffier and rounder face shape due to increased stress levels - but is it even a real thing? According to Dr. Gowri Reddy Rocco, a hormone health specialist, while Moon Face is a real condition, it's unlikely that women around the world are suffering.
For background, cortisol is the primary stress hormone produced by the adrenal glands and helps our bodies regulate blood pressure, balance blood sugar, and turn food into energy. Spikes in cortisol and/or prolonged stress can often lead to an increase in unhealthy behaviors (inadequate sleep, eating an excess of fatty foods, reducing exercise) and these behaviors can indirectly lead to swelling and puffiness.
Our take? Stressing about your stress is not the answer and “Cortisol Face” isn’t a real, widespread issue. That being said, if you want to combat a swollen face (especially upon waking) we recommend ice rolling or dunking, gua sha (more on this soon), and adding electrolytes to your water!
That's all for this week, angels!
